WebJul 7, 2015 · At 2000 rpm, the dash gauge reads 13.7vdc and the Fluke at the battery terminals measures 14.27vdc and the Fluke at the ACC terminals measures 13.74vdc. Alternator kicks in at about 1300 rpm. When all the lights are on and the fan motor is running, at 2000 rpm, the dash gauge reads 13.5vdc. I'd say this is all goodness! WebJul 19, 2024 · Just got my FIRST Goldwing. I knew going in that there was a BIG chance the stator was bad but I had to replace the battery and starter first. Knowing now for positive that the stator IS bad, I have no intention of paying for or attempting a stator replacement. I WILL however be installing an alternator. I have a 1986 GL1200 Intestate.
