Some sage advice is to find a steady balance between DPS and healing. For example, a WAR will probably be fine on high level mitagations and self healing. But you WILL need to babysit that Reaper and Red Mage.

Usually with a large pull I'll start with kerachole and soteria and try to uses my AoEs to do what healing I can.
