WebJul 10, 2024 · Gambits aren't what turns me off of Black Mage/White Mage, though. It's the fact that you lose so much damage if you stop casting Black Magicks. For a large portion of the game, Black Mage will be one of your highest damage dealers, since their spells can hit multiple targets and it's usually easy to match elemental weaknesses, too. WebI don't like White Mage/Time Battlemage as a combination. It's too busy (don't have enough gambits for all those buffs) and deals very mediocre damage to assist with regaining mana for White Mage. I'm also not a fan of Black Mage/Monk in a 12 jobs run because the Monk is so much more useful elsewhere.
