WebFeb 11, 2009 · Ah that makes sense. The bland looking font of the SNES version betrays it in those KLOV shots definately (both for MK3 and UMK3). The PC version seems very close to the arcade, the real different being in the fine resolution (losing details there), though the select square for the character choosing obviously differs. WebNov 16, 2004 · The main difference between the two is UMK3 adds the ninja's back, 3 new hidden characters, human smoke, 4 new stages, and cuts out all of the story screens for the MK3 characters, as well as the scences of their endings. Why they did that I don't know, but oh well. But to be honest, UMK3 is still a better game that MK3, if only slightly.
